I’m usually more subtle and minimal in my tastes for interiors but bold marble is trending and I’m suuuuper into it. Bold veins runneth through these natural stone beauties, each one more unique then the next, speaking to its suitor on a very personal level and stealing the spotlight in any room it adorns.
I don’t know if you have ever had the pleasure of shopping a slab yard, but that’s where dreams are made baby. Pulling out that massive rock, inspecting every line and speckle, overanalyzing it like a precious piece of art, it’s like a drug. A designer drug if you will. ; ) What you do with it from there is where the real magic happens. Meticulously fabricated into a rhythmic kitchen backsplash, bad ass bathroom counter tops or a one of a kind accent table, it will be immortalized in your home forever. Statement making? One Hundred! Risk Taking? Totally! Outside my comfort zone? Yup! However I’m kind of tickled by the risk and that’s why we love a good trend, riiiiight? Take a peak below at some of my favorite ways I’ve seen bold marble steal the show.
Jake Alexander Arnold is seriously my moody mod marble god of the designer moment. Everything he touches just makes me gag, in the best sense of the phrase. He makes organic minimal magic and tops it with these masterful marble accents. I blame him for my new interest in veiny rock. IN LOVE.
Is this feeling too gaudy Venetian bathhouse? I don’t care, I’m dy-ing for it! The only kind of veins I actually enjoy seeing. Keep it coming!
Ciao for now!
