If its one thing you need to know about me is I’m a low maintenance kind of girl. I don’t ware make up, I only wear shoes when completely necessary, same goes for a bra. I skip bright colors and loud patterns and fussy accessories when I dress, I work with low to no maintenance materials when I design a home but I have always struggled with landscape design. When things are to perfect, patterned or uniformed it feels robotic and takes a lot of time and money to keep it looking that way which sucks. When everyone’s house on the block falls into the same tree trend it feels very impersonal. The exterior first impression of your home is as important as the interior so why not find a way to reflect your personality in it and tune it up.
I know what I like but I didn’t know how to put it into words. That is until I came across Meadowscaping. Harnessing native elements and low maintenance layouts of seasonal plants and flowers that dance and thrive off each other and their own ecosystem! Effortless beauty that’s soft and as colorful as you want it. Varying heights and playing with natural stone, concrete and wood in the most organic way. Happy butterflies and hummingbirds and no weekly weed pulling, crazy pruning or mulching. Dancing a fine line between, “is that house abandon” and “oh look at that whimsical cottage”.
Here are a few images that put this feeling into words so the next time your landscaper or designer asks, “whats the vibe you want out here?” you can proudly say English cottage Meadowscaping, what else?
