It seemed all too appropriate, with my new found quarantine time and lack of work….. or any face to face social interaction for that matter, that this is the perfect time to dive back into blogging. The main reason being if I don’t stop and appreciate all the beauty there still is in this world I may just shrivel up and die, but also because its been a while and I have a lot of really pretty things to share! Quarantine aside, I think passing the time immersed in things, people and practices you admire in a time of such uncertainty is the best and most sane thing we can do for ourselves right now.
One styling practice that I’m living for right now and that we can all partake in while on strict lockdown is floral foraging. Not only does this give you something to look forward to on your numerous daily walks, it makes you stop and soak up your surroundings like I’m sure you never have before. Bonus features are, it costs no money, makes your home that much more pretty, cozy and feeling alive but most importantly, solidifies that neighborly bond perhaps you’ve been dodging in the past. Nothing says, “I’m here with you” like climbing over a strangers fence to hack off an olive branch in the middle of the day. They’ll forgive you, they have bigger problems to worry about.
Jokes aside, do what you can to exercise your creative muscles in this crazy time and what better way to do that than with nature, floral arranging and interior styling. Take a peak at these masters in action, incase you need some inspiration and motivation to sharpen your garden sheers. Happy Foraging!
ciao for now!
