If you can believe it, another month has passed and yes, its October!! My most favoritist month of the year! I’m not a Libra but I align strongly with their energy, which may be my connection to this season, but mostly I think its because growing up in Hudson Valley New York, October is the most magical of months. The air feels crisp and cleaner, the leaves change vibrant colors, sweaters come out and apple picking and winery hopping is an every weekend affair. Don’t even get me started on Halloween! I’m a GD nut for it. I love the pumpkin carving, the tiny bite sized snickers, scary movies, the costumes, crafting and cooking! Above all I love October because it’s the month when we celebrate the day we got married and the day our Poppy Poop came into our lives. What’s not to love about any and all of that.
Here is my monthly round up of ETSY picks from some of my favorite shops followed by some spaces that inspired the hunt. It’s of course heavy on the organic mid century boho vibage but thats what you’re here for right!
Minimalist Line art- This style is definitely trending and when I see it I’m like, I can totally do that myself, and then I give it a try and realize, yeah, no I cant. This shop has great minimal printable options if you’re like me and can’t even freehand a squiggly line with any accuracy.
Abstract Art- Loving a pop a green for this season and I’m trying to incorporate this earth tone more into my life. This abstract allows you to partake in the relaxed art trend without breaking the bank.
More Minimalist Art- Another Simple Line drawing but again, on budget so you can buy multiples. I like the idea of leaning and layering them on a credenza or dresser. This female form is soft and kind of sexy and really relaxing.
Geometric Yarn Art- I found Studio Nom on Insta and really like how she blends the macrame art with a geometric focus. I appreciate the boho vibe of yarn art but sometimes I want it in a cleaner form. This girl nails it.
Vintage George Nelson Pendant- Kind of obsessed with these lanterns right now, and if you’re going to to do it, go real vintage with Mr. Nelson.
Rattan Picnic Carafe- Cutie pie carafe cover for dining al fresco. A little MCM Boho which is just on target for this collection and very on trend for $26.
“Camel Table” At first glance I saw with table and thought, cool cool, then I discovered that it converts from a coffee table to a dining table!! You could do like sushi night sitting and dining one night and regular height dining the next! Great for small space living too, very versatile. Genius!
MCM Candle Holder- These were just too cute and from one of my favorite Seattle vintage shops. The perfect neutral sculptural accent to any shelf, sideboard, or mantle vignette.
Cloth and Main Pillow- I always lean towards a stripe and I love the asymmetry of this along with its subtle Boho flavor. This shop is an ultimate favorite of mine.
Rust Pillow- Can’t do October without a little warm orange and this rust tone is just lovely!
Mini-malist Pillow- This women has been on my radar since the beginning. Love her palette, the quality of her pieces and well, her minimalist design. Make her one of your favorites.
African Throw- I got a lot of comments on my African throw in my guest room, which I snatched from Rose Bowl Flea Market, but my girl the mini-malist has one similar and for half of what I paid!
