Neutral Bohemian Styling Pieces- Modhemian Take on Warm Minimalism
When styling a space I like to incorporate accent pieces that, albeit not always functional, but more importantly in my eyes, serve up some serious minimal bohemian style. Decorative objects that you have collected over time add a personal touch that every home needs to feel thoughtful and complete. When curating a warm neutral space it’s all about adding texture, layers and a varying array of tones within the same color family. For me that includes anything found in nature, woven, wooden or made by hand.
Take a look at some of my favorite accent pieces for filling the gaps in a home that add interest and warmth without any fuss and will seamlessly integrate into any Modhemian’s lair.
Moroccan Woven Step Stools - perfect for indoor or outdoor, children our adult spaces, these little guys lend a woven surface to lay a book or a tiny tush in effortless fashion.
Little Market // 2.French Baskets // 3. etsy // 4. Homestories
African Gourde Baskets- a twist on the every day basket, more for sitting and staring at rather than filling, but I love them just the same.
Rejuvenation // 2. Twenty One Tones // 3. Restoration Hardware // 4. Ember Home Studio
Raffia Fans/Dried Palm Fronds/Macrame Feathers- think less church fan, more pretty 3D art. Whether saved from nature or carefully crafted by hand I love the shape of these and the femininity they lend to a space.
1. Vintage Raffia // 3. Star Palm // 4. Macrame Feather // 5. Afloral
Fiber Art - if you know me at all you know I’m a sucker for a woven piece of art. Here are a few killer ones.
1.Beaded Bamboo 2.// XL Fiber Art 3.// Nikoli Wall Hanging 4.// Cotton Fields 5.// Seagrass 6.// Candice Fringe 7.// Big Dot Bamboo 8.// Sally England
Well, there you have it, small additions that give me more pleasure than is really appropriate or necessary. But that goes with the obsession for design and this aesthetic I guess. No shame in that game.
Ciao for now!
